The situation was the same except that no one called me at the day before the delivery and no one come over to me during the delivery day.
At the day of the delivery i got a second call telling me that the truck is coming little earlier and that can not be changed.
This year I ordered a kitchen range.
At that time Home Depot gave me a real hard time.
Then I called my bank to stop the payment.
The stuff is polite and the store is much more cleaner compare to others in NYC
Then I called again and I was told the same.
I brought people from NYC to help me with the delivery which never come...
Thanks to Lowes they did great job.
During the travelling time I found one of my neighbors who was able to accept the delivery.
Today , 16th day after the day I had to get the range I got a call from Home Depot to sett a time for delivery ?!?!?
First of all the complete store is inadequately illuminated. You could actually be aware of the dust as you breath in some of the aisles. Difficult to get some one in the plumbing and electrical department, in total this Home Depot store needs to upgrade to Lowe's standard where I will continue doing my shopping. Until Home Depot improves to great, Not just standard.
Went in knowing exactly what we wanted for a kitchen design. Their staff was just trained on how to use the design system so we politely asked for a more seasoned experienced person as we were not comfortable being a "tester" and time was of the essence. The nice new girl had me pay for measurements to be taken and after an entire week I never got a single call for someone to come out. Their "senior" designer is a rude, cold Indian lady who you can tell is just punching a clock and could care less about selling or getting you a kitchen. After feeling hopeless I finally went to the EASTON location hoping for better help. I met a nice guy named Dave who told me I'd miss out on the Labor Day promotions. I told him I shouldn't be penalized because Home Depot didn't have staff to take care of us in a timely manner. It's sad because we were a done deal, knew exactly what we wanted and Home Depot's staff simply didn't care. We are still without a kitchen and trying to find a reliable kitchen company. Thanks for nothing Home Depot!
Also I had a deal to rent the house at the next week which forced me to go and buy at the next day the same Range from Lowes.
After the missing delivery I called Home Depot I was told that I will get my money back after 2-3 days.
Home Depot is a great place. You can find everything you're looking for there. Staff is friendly and helpful.
That did not happened.
I was on the road driving toward PA from NYC and having no ability to arrive at the time.
I was promised that the delivery will be made in a 4 hours time frame made from the day before the delivery.
Last year I ordered a refrigerator for my summer house. As I do not live there i needed the delivery to be made only at the weekends.
Renovating my house and I go every day. The manager Michael, cashiers Mara, Ramon, Moe are amazing. Manager Michael always has a smile on his face and is great to everyone coming in.
