I have been with Chestnuthill Self Storage since they built it, never an issue! When they bought Lock-Tyte, in horrible condition, they immediately started repairs, paved a gravel lot, new roof, new siding, installed lighting, and later a security gate, but security cams in place almost from day 1. I chose to move my storage since it was closer to my home, so I have been at Locktyte from the new beginning, new owners, never a problem, I recommend to everyone, especially since their prices are considerably lower than most everyone else, and 24 hour access.
I've had a unit for 6 months with no issues.
I have rented a unit from Locktyte for about 2 years now. I have not had any issues with them. They were just bought out by Cubesmart,they are a nightmare to get to speak with anyone that can help. They have central offices off site.Their phone system is horrible!!!!! The buyout was announced by sending out a contract leading you to believe that you owed them a contract fee. I will be moving my things out within the month
I booked a storage unit in March for the day we would move our daughter home from college in East Stroudsburg, PA in May. A company representative called a few days later to say that they only take reservations for three days in advance. I explained that the website allowed me to pick my day and that I had received an email confirmation of that day. The manager said she would honor the email and "put a note on the computer" saying that the space should be reserved for us. On moving day, we had our minivan packed to the hilt and arrived at the storage unit. After 3 phone calls to the office no one would come out to meet us OR even have the courtesy to return our calls. What a scam!!!! Obviously they had given our unit away and were too rude to even speak to us. We ended up calling 5 different storage places before we found one with an open unit since it was move out day from college and most places were booked by this time. What a horrible experience. You can't trust the people who work here to be honest with you. We will tell every one we meet not to trust this company!
