Horrible staff, no education of products or even want to help locate products they "don't carry" yet finding a whole display. Staff just stand around chatting. Members of the staff dress highly inappropriately, working in an industry that prides itself on beauty, fashion and image. Salon is a mess. No talent, do not know how to multitask and ruined my hair. NEVER again. Charge for services not rendered and refuse to refund you only to offer a better service or more "qualified" stylist your next visit! Shouldn't every stylist be capable of performing their craft? Why would anyone want to go back after a disaster? I did, was charged full price, in addition to a non-existent blow dry, and had to move on to another stylist/salon to fix the mess having to lop my hair off. I'm glad Sephora opened. This Ulta is the worst!!! I'd give zero stars if I was able
When I showed her a picture of what I wanted (very simple braid across the side of my head with loose curls) her EXACT response was "Oh no, I can't do that." So I asked her if someone else there could do the braid and she flat out said "No." Didn't ask the other FOUR stylists that were there for help, simply just said no. She showed me a picture of a braid she did on another client and I told her I didn't like how tight to the scalp the braid was and I would like it looser so she said okay.
She did not offer to give me a discount or anything. I had to go back to my hotel room and COMPLETELY do my hair on my own. I was so disappointed in this salon and store. When telling this story to friend of mine who is a hair stylist she was disgusted. She said you ALWAYS ask your other stylists for help if you don't know how to do something a client is asking for. I would NEVER recommend their services to anyone.
I went to the Ulta Salon to get my hair done for my husbands cousins wedding. There were 6 of us who went in to get our done. The stylist who was assigned to do my hair was less than professional and did a terrible job.
I told the woman at the register how unhappy I was and her response was "Well do you want her to do it again?" Of course not, she couldn't do it the first time around so I wasn't going to waste my time trying again.
Recently had my hair done at salon and Kim did a wonderful job. Very happy! As for the store, could spend hours wandering around. Like a candy store for women. Always find what I am looking for and more.
She curled my hair, which didn't even last. The curls wound up falling out before I even left. I have great hair for curling and have never experienced this before. She attempted to do the braid 3 different times to which point I told her to just forget it. It was very clear that I was very unhappy with the final product and she did nothing to appease me.
I used to go to the Ulta in Rockaway N.J. And wasn't thrilled. The staff was not helpful or personable at all. I was a die hard Sephora fan from that point on until...Ulta opened in Bartonsville PA. LOVE IT! I haven't shopped at Sephora since they opened. The staff is amazing! They're all super friendly, patient and eager to help. They are stuck with me.
When I told her how I wanted my curls done, even pointed to a picture they had on one of their signs hanging in the salon, she goes "Well, that's a blow out so I can't do that." This stylist did absolutely NOTHING to try to give me what I was looking to have done.
Always a fun place to shop for me! POWER TO THE GIRL !!
